Calm and Collected

Well,

On our eturn to Rosies, the hjostel it was like going home, pepole were pleased to see us espically pete and steve the guys who run the place. Supprisingly we were well behaved and I didnt go out once but we did consume 2 boxes of wine! There was aBBQ at the hostel on saturday and appart from that we didnt do much appart from drink coffee.

There was this one thing. On Friday during high winds and heay rain me and AB went on a iny boat out to the reef. One f my lif long abmbitions. It was soooooo amazing. I say various sea cucmbers that do weird things. Or dive leader wresseled a massi warrior fish in a very steve Irwin way while trying to pick fighs with other species. I saw a sea turttle, one of the most beautiful animals it just moves so gracefully. We saw reff rays and spanish dancers soo weirsd and i got stung by fire coral and we saw nemo and the cast again. It was beutiful one of the best things ive done. BVery expensive but worht the whoe lot!

Then yesteray we flew to Perth so im at sues now with all my post, Thanks Lydia, and a cat alot like mine but tabby and bigger but just as furry, Watson. And im on the job hunt again as money would be good. Just so u know tomorrow the 7th is the last chance to post cards to be here on time for my birthday. All money greatly accepted! For my birthday I went to Prision!

So my 2 weeks in Perth have been a relaxing break. Sue and Jhon ahve cooked for me, mothered me and catered for my every whim. Soits been great and i havnt had ot cook. My first week here without mum, i just relaxed and read, ive reread the harry potter books, which still frustrate me, but they require no thinking to read so its like watching neighbours on LSD!

Anyway, when Mum did arrive id done othing mre than meet AB and drink coffee. SO i took mums credit card and mum for some exercise! Me Mum and Sue went downn south to Augusta. On the way u pass the margret river and there are 90 wineries and cellar doors(where to try the wine for free). So mum and I drunk lots, sue was driving. We even found a kosher wine company, who make pesach wines, u lucky people haveing sedar with mum!! They even catered for the Isreli primeminister when he was here!! So when we finilly after the winerie, fudge factory and other stops made it to the house it had an amazing view down to where the two rivers meet the sea. On our second day down south we did more wine tasting and the chocolate factory and the bootleg brewary (good beer) Their slogan is 'an oasis of beer in a desert of wine'-clever. In the morning we'd been to Jewel cave. Its a cave full of stalgemites and stegites it was really cool. Except the steep steps down the enclosed passeges ways (im not a fan!) It was bucketing down so thts about all we did. The last day, on the way back we went dolphin watching, its not whale season for another month. But the dolphns were cool!!

So on thursday mum took me to the travel agans and paid for most of my travel back to sydney, which i am very greatful cos it means i can now go to tazmania which i thought i would miss as its winter and im bronke! She also took me to the ank to give me money. Tat took most of the day, so we headed to Perth's bell tower, an intresting construction housing, well bells. I almost convinved the clark i wasa qullified bell ringer to see if he'd let me have a go but he just worked it out t the last minuet, I almost had him!!

Friday was my Birthdday, I dint have any plans so thanks to everyone who got cards to me its much appricated. Me and mum headed to freemantle which is famous for its weekend markets, to buy the last suverniers and general stuff . We got the ferry over and its a beautiful place the buildings are very colonial and it has a europen feel of ambling among the shops and streets. The markets sold everything. And i got a pair of aussie UG boots which ae VERY warm, somthing to help me adjust to english weather when i got home! So we decided to head off to the prision there to look around. We just made a tour with a guy Collin from Portsmouth. The prision was open from 1850-1991 and still felt as if they only left esterday. Mum let slip it was my birthday, so Collin keep using me to demonstrate drugs serches and other such joys!! But It was really interesting and Collin rocked, making the place really come to life. they didnt have flushing toilets at all in the prision in 55 degree heat they had a buket in their cells!! lovley. Definatly worht dong. So after I escaped prision, he did try to keep me in there, for some reason mum didnt seem too bothered. The i had home made apple pie for my birthday cake ummmmmmmmmmm

So today were going to Sue's daughters for te and cakes. Then Tomorrow I leave for adeliade. Ill be in Melbourne on thursday then back to sydney te 2ndish. Im In taznmania from the 4-9 thn my last week in sydney before i fly to christchurch on the 19th of MAy.

I hope everyone is enjoying the spring, its still hot here! even though its autum!

The Slow Train

Well 3 days on a train! that was an experience! It was fun I met people we chatted, slept, read, froze, it was cold at night. It was weird seeing all the space in oz, we went along the numlbor plain. The longest straight pices of railway in the world. And throught the nuclar testing site! But the sun rise/sets were fantastic. When I made it to adeliade at 7am, it was a case of breakfast sleep and then the south australia museum. Adeliade is a very quiet place but all the museums are free. So after a nights drinknng i went to the museum overfloew place the migration museuma nd the art museum. and that filled my day. Then I got Quizno's and got the bus to melbourne. Where im staying wiht a jewish family as its passover and its really nice the community here is big and freindly and im going to the Beni Akiva youth shul!! Anyway its dinner now, will keep u up dated
